Old Pit Stop, New OBC!

Does This Spot Look Familiar?

Oregon Barbecue Company is VERY excited to announce that they will be making a much anticipated move to the old “Pit Stop” building by Walmart which is less than a quarter mile down the road from their current existing location in Lebanon.

“We’ve always loved the look and the feel of the old Pit Stop building,” said OBC’s President, Tanner Poff. “We cant even begin to explain how amazing we feel this move will be for the entire community!” The Oregon Barbecue Company (also known as OBC) has big plans in store for the old Pit Stop location as well as the city of Lebanon’s citizens. Poff continued, “We are going to transport our existing building down here so we can still serve up some BBQ while the remodel is underway. The plans are to have the remodeling finished within the next year where our customers will then have an amazing facility, with indoor seating as well as the picnic area that we will be adding on.”

Big plans indeed… The OBC vision is to make getting their Award Winning BBQ easier and more comfortable for families from the Lebanon and Sweet Home areas.

The move is scheduled to take place before March where they will move their existing trailered building down to the Pit Stop property and continue to serve BBQ from there while the renovation process unfolds on the actual building formerly known as the “Pit Stop”.

"FEED THE CITY"

FREE BBQ!

Oregon BBQ is extremely excited to announce that they once again will be holding their Annual Holiday “Feed the City” Event on December 21st where they will be giving away FREE FOOD all day long.

As a way of saying Thank You to the Local Communities which have extended such incredible support throughout the year OBC will be giving anyone who visits their local Oregon BBQ Company establishments a FREE MEAL of their choice from a full menu of items to choose from. The menu includes items such as their Award Winning Meats of Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Smoked Chicken, Candied Ribs, and Twice Smoked German Sausage. Each meal comes with two side dishes of either Potato Salad, BBQ Beans, Creamy Coleslaw, Buttered Corn, or Fritos Corn Chips.

“We’re gonna be stuffing the pits as full as we can get ‘em, put a 12 hour smoke on it, and hand it out until its gone,” explained OBC Pitmaster Morgan Shuck. The event will be held at every local Oregon Barbecue Company location in Albany or Lebanon starting at 10:00 am and going as long as supplies are available.

“The Holiday Season is very special to us,” explains Poff the company’s President and CEO. “It brings to center stage what we stand for and believe in as a company. It’s about spending quality time with family and loved ones and making those precious memories that stick with you for a lifetime. We believe that BBQ has the same type of magical quality which tends to bring people closer together and give them experiences that they’ll take with them for many years to come.”

This seasons event marks the 2nd consecutive year that the Oregon Barbecue Company has decided to close its tills and feed the patrons of their communities free of charge. “It was such an incredible event last year,” says Adam Cluver the COO of the company, “The atmosphere, of what felt like the entire city, coming together and enjoying a Holiday meal with each other truly represents what the Holiday Season is all about. We can’t even begin to explain how happy it makes us to feed those that may not otherwise have the opportunity or means to come dine with us regularly,” added Cluver.

The Oregon Barbecue Company fully believes in the Holiday Season being about friends, families, and loved ones. So much so that the “Feed the City” event designates the last day the business is open in 2017. Once they’ve finished “Feeding the City” Oregon Barbecue shuts down every location and sends their employees (the “OBC Fam” as its known) home on paid vacation for the remainder of the year to be with the ones they love most.

“We want to thank everyone for making this year such an incredible success,” says Pendley, VP of Oregon BBQ. “We have such amazing communities surrounding us that have continued to give us tremendous amounts of support along this amazing journey. We look forward to this event all year long as it’s a wonderful way to end the year and show everyone in our community how much we love and appreciate them.”

The Oregon Barbecue Company encourages anyone that is in the area to come and enjoy a great day of community, food, and friends during the “Feed the City” event on December 21st.  As their tagline plainly states….. “Come and get ‘ya some!”

Oregon BBQ Smokes Whole Hogs for Hoedown

The Oregon Barbecue Company was extremely honored when they'd received a phone call from the Executive Director of Furniture Share, an organization that directly aids in bettering the situation of many families in our local communities, asking if OBC would like to assist in this years 8th Annual Texas Style BBQ Hoedown. "Naturally, we were very excited to be able to help Michelle and her organization with this years event," said Tanner Poff, the President of Oregon BBQ. "This gives us an opportunity to do the two things we love most... BBQ and helping out the families of our community!"

The event is being held on July 22nd at the Philomath Frolic and Rodeo Grounds from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and is going to be an evening packed with all sorts of entertainment. The Oregon BBQ will be doing an all day cookout with multiple whole hogs as well as providing chicken, hot dogs, barbecue beans, and coleslaw. The entertainment for the night will include: Live Music, Team Penning, live and silent auction, and much more in an effort to help raise money for the incredibly generous Furniture Share Organization. Some of the items within the auction include: Disney Package for 4, Trips to the Coast, Dinners, Movie Tickets, Bowling Passes, Admission to the Oregon Jamboree, Country Music Festival Passes, and Gift Baskets just to name a few.

Last year the organization was able to provide goods and household items to over 5000 individuals including more than 2300 children living within our community. "There are so many families; more than we probably even realize, that may not even have some of the basics that often get taken for granted. Something as substantial as a bed for example. Its unthinkable to imagine that there are parents and kids in our communities that don't even have beds to come home to after a long day of work or school. We should come together as their neighbors and rally behind these families to do what we can to improve their situations," commented the VP of Oregon Barbecue, Nathan Pendley.

If you are looking to help out some of the families within your community there are many ways of doing so. The Furniture Share is always excepting donations of items such as: Household Furniture, Beds, Sheets, Pillows, Blankets, Chairs, Dinner Tables, Dressers, Couches, Pots, Pans, Silverware. Even if you dont have any money or items to donate the Furniture Share Organization is always looking for volunteers to assist with events and other day to day activities.

To get involved in your community or donate some of your unused household goods or furniture please think about letting Furniture Share be a part of that process. For more information please visit: Furnitureshare.org

Oregon BBQ Company Wins Statesman Journal Best of the Valley for Barbecue!

Oregon BBQ earns Statesman Journal "Best of the Valley"

OBC is very excited to have received the the Award from the Statesman Journal for "Best of the Valley" in the Barbecue Category earlier this month.

"It is such an honor to receive recognition for all the hard work that our entire team has put in to making Oregon Barbecue become what it is today. Every member of our OBC Family has dedicated themselves to making the best possible product and providing exceptional customer service for all of our incredible fans and followers," says Pendley, VP of the up and coming BBQ Company.

Oregon BBQ Company has made huge strides in expanding the company over the short 2 1/2 years its been in operation. Starting from a small pop-up-tent during the summer at a local Brewery they then moved into a food cart to serve their slow smoked meats during that first winter in business. After a successful winter in the food cart they made a move to their 1st Brick-and-Mortar location in Albany out on Old Salem Rd. Since then they have added a 2nd Location in Lebanon that was recently opened in March of this year and has been steadily selling out of meats since opening its doors. "Both of these communities are just filled with incredible people who have given us such amazing support along our journey," says OBC's President, Tanner Poff.

The Oregon Barbecue Company has very lofty plans that include opening many more restaurants up and down the Willamette Valley and throughout the state of Oregon in the years to come. "We want to live up to our name and our company's mission," says Pendley. "We truly want to be Oregon's Barbecue Company and provide all families in the state of Oregon with the joy and happiness that BBQ brings to friends, family, and loved ones around the world". With the hashtag of #OBCTakeover often referenced by the Oregon BBQ, you'll want to keep an eye out for this Award Winning BBQ establishment coming to a town near you soon!
