Oregon BBQ Named "Best BBQ In Valley" by Statesman Journal

Statesman Journal names Oregon Barbecue Company as "Best of the Mid-Valley" Gold Winner!

Last Sunday (04/29/18) the Statesman Journal released its 2018 Edition of "Best of the Mid-Valley" and has your very own Oregon Barbecue Company ranked as the Gold Winner making them this years top seated BBQ Restaurant in the Mid Willamette Valley. 2018 has been a very busy year for the young and ambitious company. Indeed its been an incredible ride for the rapidly expanding Oregon BBQ Crew as they've received numerous honors thus far in 2018. Back in January they topped the BBQ Restaurant charts coming in at the #1 spot on Best Things Oregon list of Best BBQ's in the entire state. Two short months later, the Albany based company was recognized by the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce as the Small Business of the Year... an honor that the Oregon BBQ Company was very humbled to accept. Earlier this month OBC was delighted to hear that they had cracked the top 10 Best Catering Companies in the entire state as well. Needless to say when the crew at Oregon BBQ, known as the OBC Fam, heard the wonderful news about the recent Statesman Journal publication they were both thrilled and honored to receive the "Best of the Mid-Valley" Gold Medal. "This has just been an incredible year so far," stated Poff, the President of OBC. He continued, "To even be mentioned in the same breath as some of these other outstanding companies is truly an honor. We are so fortunate to receive this type  of recognition and its a true testament to not only our team, who have put in so much hard work and effort, but to our communities as well. We have the most incredibly loyal fans and customers and cant even begin to thank them enough for all of the love and support they've given us on this journey."

The Oregon Barbecue Company currently has two restaurant locations thus far with plans of opening up a 3rd location in Salem this year. "We are extremely excited about opening up in the Salem community," shared Adam Cluver, the COO for the Oregon BBQ Company. "We feel like our style of business and customer centric values will be a great fit in the Salem area." He continued, "We are very eager to give the great people of Salem the true Oregon BBQ Experience and look forward to them calling OBC... Family." When asked about a timeline for the much awaited opening in Salem the owners stated that they have been looking for the correct location for many months. "A Salem location has been in the plans for quite some time now," stated Cluver, "but we want to make sure we do it right. We want to find a good location that makes it easy for the wonderful folks of Salem to enjoy our award winning BBQ." The Oregon BBQ company has a goal set to locate and open a Salem restaurant before the end of the year. To learn more about the Oregon Barbecue Company you can visit them on Facebook , or go to there website.

Oregon BBQ Awarded "Small Business of the Year" Award

Oregon Barbecue receives "Small Business of the Year" Award

Last Saturday Night the Oregon Barbecue Company was invited to join the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce for their Annual DSA Banquet (Distinguished Services Award)  held at Albany's YMCA  as nominees for the Small Business of the Year Award. "Just being mentioned in the same breath as these other companies who've done so much for our community is an incredible honor," said Nathan Pendley, owner of the Oregon Barbecue Company.

The event was a night filled with food, fun, live entertainment, inspiration, and of course awards. "No matter what happens here tonight, the real winner is the City of Albany and all of its incredible citizens," Pendley went on to say. "Just take a look around the room here, Albany is so fortunate to have such amazing people that care so much about the community and the families that reside here. What an incredible thing to be a part of." He was speaking of the room filled with compassionate, caring individuals and businesses who believe that their success is about much more than just themselves. The air was thick and filled with a sense of duty, a sense of pride in helping each other and helping their community blossom for years to come.

As the night began it was easy to spot that the boys from the Oregon Barbecue Company or OBC, as they are often referred to as, were excited yet a bit nervous about what lied ahead for them that night. Grateful for just being nominated it was clear that the Boys wanted to win. "We really wanted this one for our OBC Family," said Pendley. "We've got a lot of younger impressionable men and women in our Family and we are trying to instill in them that our company, as well as ourselves, are here for a much larger purpose. They've done such an amazing job at embracing the OBC Culture and truly putting others before themselves, so we really wanted this one to give them confirmation and recognition of how special of a group they are, and to show them that they are having a major impact on other peoples lives with what they are doing."

When the category for Small Business of the Year approached the tables were set as the nominees began to be read aloud. Each nominee's list of accomplishments, programs helped within the community, and commitment towards making Albany a better place to live were announced over the loud speaker. Then, the time to open the envelope and disclose this years recipient arrived, and as last years winner removed its contents she read from the card into the microphone... "The Oregon Barbecue Company!"

"We are so thankful and very humbled to receive this years award" said Pendley. "We will represent Albany and our community with pride as we continue to reach out and help more programs, more families, and more people with every step of growth that we make.... we feel like we aren't just in the BBQ business... we are in the business of people and relationships, and we cant wait to continue making an impact on the lives of others!.. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us with open arms and open hearts... we truly live in an amazing community here in Albany and it is a continual pleasure getting to serve all of the great people in it."

The Oregon Barbecue Company vows to continue to reach out and make an impact on the communities that they serve and state that they're always looking for new ways to get involved. Congratulations to all of this years recipients and nominees at the DSA Award Banquet for everything that they've done and continue to do for Albany and its surrounding areas.. You all are what makes Albany the great city that its become. To many more years of serving others... "Come and Get 'Ya Some!"

Old Pit Stop, New OBC!

Does This Spot Look Familiar?

Oregon Barbecue Company is VERY excited to announce that they will be making a much anticipated move to the old “Pit Stop” building by Walmart which is less than a quarter mile down the road from their current existing location in Lebanon.

“We’ve always loved the look and the feel of the old Pit Stop building,” said OBC’s President, Tanner Poff. “We cant even begin to explain how amazing we feel this move will be for the entire community!” The Oregon Barbecue Company (also known as OBC) has big plans in store for the old Pit Stop location as well as the city of Lebanon’s citizens. Poff continued, “We are going to transport our existing building down here so we can still serve up some BBQ while the remodel is underway. The plans are to have the remodeling finished within the next year where our customers will then have an amazing facility, with indoor seating as well as the picnic area that we will be adding on.”

Big plans indeed… The OBC vision is to make getting their Award Winning BBQ easier and more comfortable for families from the Lebanon and Sweet Home areas.

The move is scheduled to take place before March where they will move their existing trailered building down to the Pit Stop property and continue to serve BBQ from there while the renovation process unfolds on the actual building formerly known as the “Pit Stop”.

Soon it will be easier than ever to
